Just down the street from Ballast Point’s Little Italy tasting room is a relatively new brewery called Bolt. I stopped in on my way back to my hotel from Ballast Point. I met the co-owner Molly and tasted several beers. Her boyfriend is the brewer. They have a nice tasting room that also offers food. My first trip I just tasted several beers and went back the next night and had some pickled vegetables which were very good (and tasted some more beer of course). This is definitely a place that could become your go to hang out spot. The people were great, beers were good and the space is very casual. My Untapp’d checkin’s are shown below. My favorite was their Belgian IPA.
