I love Stone Brewing’s beers and tasting rooms.  I have visited Stone Brewing World Bistro and Garden’s in Escondido in the past and was hoping to visit again this trip to add it to my beer blog but wasn’t able to make that happen this trip.  Since I was staying downtown San Diego, I was able to visit Stone Brewing Tap Room which is next to Petco Stadium.  I had lunch (awesome flatbread with bacon/avocado/cheese) and a very nice wheat beer (Wheatchamacallit).  The space was very nice and also has a small store to purchase shirts and take-away bottles of beer.  I learned that the “enjoy by” date is 37 days from bottling.  Probably why I don’t see too many of these in FL.  I picked up two Enjoy By Black IPA’s from Krisp which is a great beer store at 7th and Broadway in San Diego.  I was looking for Pliny the Elder (which I can never find when I visit CA) but no luck. Anyway, you can never go wrong with Stone for their beer, tasting room, and food.  Check it out if you are downtown San Diego or at a game or event at Petco stadium.  www.stonebrewing.com
