The Bristol Bar is located in the Bristol Hotel in Frankfurt. I visited with some work colleagues the FRI before my return flight to the US. Nothing like international flying on a hang over. The Bristol Bar is supposed to be the best mixology bar in Frankfurt. Prior to arriving at the Bristol Bar we went to dinner at the Apfelweinlokal Atschel in the Sachsenhausen area across the Main river. We started with Hefeweizen’s and a pitcher of the local apple wine so of course, let’s finish the evening at a mixology bar. Why not??
I started with a smokey old fashion. Basically as it sounds, an old fashion where they infuse the drink with smoke. Pretty good but think the smoke is over rated. Great visual to watch the drink being made but doesn’t add much to improving the flavor. We then had a white Russian and finished with a whiskey drink that I can’t remember the name. Tasted like a Manhattan but think it was something else.
