First time to St. Maarten and found a gem at Waikiki Beach Bar at Orient Beach. This bar is on the French side and is clothing optional so you may see some women with a one piece bathing suit. The Waikiki Beach bar rents chairs/umbrellas and serves food/drinks. We started with a bloody Mary which they served in actual glasses which was surprising since we were on the beach. Not much of a beer selection here in St. Maarten so after the bloody we switched to Presidente which comes out of the Dominican Republic. This review is more of a location/beach review than a beer review. No Untapp’d checkins here and probably won’t have many on this vacation but want to share some of the pubs we are visiting this trip. Orient beach is a great stretch of sand with lots of bars, parasailing, PWC rentals and beautiful turquoise waters. Not a snorkeling beach but great swimming and people watching. Definitely a beach you must visit if you are in St. Maarten. Even the cruise ships bus people to this location but don’t let that scare you away.
