St. George’s Tavern – London, England

I had selected this pub as a meeting point and place for a late lunch.  My wife and daughter were doing the Warner Brothers Harry Potter tour which meets not far away from this bar and Victoria station.  My son and I went to the London Film museum which had a special Bond exhibit and also visited the London Transportation museum.  We met here about 2pm for lunch which was great.  The bartender was friendly and let me try some of their beers.  I settled with the London Pale Ale from Meantime Brewing Company.  I liked it so much I had two pints.  I had the fish and chips which were great.  We then hopped on the Tube at Victoria to go to the Science Museum which is also a great spot.  We only had a couple hours before closing but they had a great flight museum on the top floor.  The St. George’s Tavern is one of Nicholson’s establishment’s.  This is another company that appears to be purchasing pubs to improve efficiencies I assume with food/menu/marketing.  Check it out the next time you are in the area.  Here is their website link with more info: http://www.nicholsonspubs.co.uk/restaurants/london/thestgeorgestavernvictorialondon
