An Irish pub in Germany?  We’ll yes, they have them too.  Wiesbaden actually has two downtown.  We spent the night in Wiesbaden the night before we were flying back to the US.  It is only about 20 minutes from Frankfurt airport and the downtown area is very nice.  The night we were there they were having a summer festival with live bands set up all over the city.  We found some open chairs outside Murphy’s Pub so we camped out and drank some Bitburger Pislners and even had dinner.  They do serve food but they don’t make it there.  It comes from a restaurant across from the Irish pub (called restaurant Comeback).  I had a calzone which was great and my wife had a sliced meat/fish plater with venison carpaccio and monkfish carpaccio (picture above).  Both were excellent.  We were staying at the ACHAT hotel in Wiesbaden and Murphy’s was only a 5-10 min walk.  They had a live band playing inside the night we were there and also have a great selection of Irish whiskey’s.  Check out their website for more info: https://www.facebook.com/MurphysPubWiesbaden
