Rick’s on the River is a great bar/restaurant located just north of downtown Tampa on the Hillsborough River. We were there for the day in FEB for a trivia tournament. We have been there before and love bars that are located on the water. Believe it or not, the number of bars located on the water in Tampa is pretty low. Downtown there is Jackson’s, The Sail Pavilion, Columbia Cafe, and the Marriott and Aloft have areas where you can have a drink on the river.
Rick’s has both indoor and outdoor seating. They also have two large tents for outside events. They have a pretty extensive bar menu that includes oysters, deviled crab, shrimp, fish as well as sandwiches, burgers, etc. Not much on the craft beer front. All domestic stuff on draft and some imports in the bottle. Not the best place to get checkin’s on Untapp’d but great spot to grab a draft Amberbock, order some lunch and enjoy the water.
