Universal Orlando is out go-to place when we are looking for something to do on the weekend.  We live in the Tampa area and our son goes to University of Central Florida so it is always a great spot to meet up for dinner.  I had to make a run to the Orlando airport to register for the TSA Global Entry program so we decided to book a hotel for the night and meet up with our son.  We are SPG member so we like to book the Sheraton Four Points Studio City which is just across I-4 from Universal.  We can book a room for only 7000 points (we have actually seen it down to 2000 points) and it is only a 15 minute walk to City Walk so we don’t have to worry about having to drive after having a few beers.  We decided to try the new Antojitos Authentic Mexican Restaurant.  This is a new restaurant part of Universal revamping some of their restaurants.  When we were there, the NASCAR restaurant was shut down and will be turned into a new restaurant.  No word yet what this will be.

We were at Antojitos on SAT at about 6:00p.m. and didn’t have to wait for a table.  We were served chips and salsa and ordered a Negro Modelo.  Unfortunately Universal doesn’t have a big craft beer selection.  Cigarz restaurant was our favorite for a better selection of beer but this restaurant is no longer open.  Antojitos had imported beers (Dos XX, Negro Modelo, etc.) and Universal is now serving Dogfish 60 MIN IPA which is new (at least I didn’t see this the last time I was there about 6 months ago).  I ordered the wet burrito with pulled pork.  It was perfect.  Comes with black beans which I slathered over the burrito.  Marnie had the fajitas and my son Conner had the roast pork loin.  We were really happy with our selections.  They also do a table side guacamole which also looked really good (the table next to us ordered one).  Maybe next time.

This used to be a Spanish restaurant before the renovation.  Internal bones appear to be the same but of course decorated with a Mexican flare.  I would definitely go back.   For more info (including a menu) check out their page on the Universal Orlando website.  Antojitos info.
