NEW PHOTOS FROM JUNE 2015 – BREWERY TOUR
Coppertail Brewing is a new brewery in Tampa that just opened in August of this year. They are off Adamo just across from IKEA (not far from Ybor). I have included a map but you can also find their address and more info on their beers at www.coppertailbrewing.com. I had tried their Free Dive IPA at New World the week before which was very good. I did a taster of four different beers this trip. The wheat and tripel were my favorites in the four beer sampler. Here are my Untapp’d ratings:
I usually like Florida Berlinerweisse style beers but the one from the tasting room had an after taste that gave it an off flavor. I tried it again at New World and it was better but not as good as Cycle Brewing’s Berlinerweisse. The Porter had a nice flavor but was light in carbonation. Their Free Dive IPA, Wheat Stroke and Unholy Trippel were great though.
Apparently they are building a new tasting room (you can see construction photo above) that is supposed to be open later this year. Coppertail Brewing has some really good beers (Free Dive IPA, Wheat Stroke and Unholy Trippel are my favorites). I am sure we will start seeing more of their beer in other bars in the Tampa area. They are also starting to bottle their flagship beers so hopefully we will start seeing these in the store. Stop by the tasting room to try some of these great beers. I think Coppertail Brewing may become the new Cigar City in Tampa.
