Old Ebbitt Grill-Washington, DC

This is one of our favorite restaurants in DC.  I wouldn’t say it is a craft beer restaurant but they do have some craft beers on their menu.  My wife and I went to the Old Ebbitt when we were in DC for a convention.  We went there for a late celebration of our 27 year wedding anniversary.  We ordered a great cheese try as a starter and I ordered the veal liver for dinner.  Food is great and this restaurant has lots of history.  Great paintings, lots of mahogany, marble.  Very fancy looking but reasonable prices.  We booked on OpenTable which is a good idea because this place gets busy.

Old Ebbitt Grill close to the White House and was established in 1856.  According to their website, “it was a favorite of Presidents Grant, Cleveland, Harding and Theodore Roosevelt and is still a popular meeting spot for political insiders, journalists, celebrities and theater-goers”.  It is also a great spot for oysters.
