Max Lager’s is located in downtown Atlanta and was a short walk from the Hyatt Regency where I was staying for the AUVSI Unmanned Vehicle conference last week. It is a brewpub with decent beer and excellent food. I suggest you make a reservation on Open Table or you may be waiting 30min for a table at night. I visited twice for dinner. The first trip I had the burger (which was juicy and awesome) and the second trip I had the fish and chips which was also very good. I was traveling with some German colleagues who got the ribeye steak and they were pretty happy. I started with the “Alternate Ryeality” which was a nice hoppy beer that I thought tasted better than my second beer “Hopsplosion”. I think the “Alternate Ryeality” had a better hop flavor. Probably the lower alcohol helped enhance the hop flavor. I would definitely suggest this spot if you are downtown Atlanta. Probably a 15 min walk from the convention center.
