I love San Diego for craft beer. I think it is has the most breweries of any city in the USA. I stayed downtown at the Horton Grand Hotel and as I always do, I Googled the closest breweries within walking distance. This trip I visited Knotty Brewing, Duck Foot Brewing ad Melvin Brewing (reference the map above). Melvin Brewing was my last stop before I headed back to the hotel. Noted below are my Untapp’d checkins’:
Their 2×4 DIPA is their flagship and it was pretty good but I rated the Hubert MPA (Pale Ale) and O.D.P. (Porter) and Melvin IPA all at 3.5 which is pretty good for me. I ordered the Melvin burger which was probably a bad idea to eat this before heading to bed but it was really good and the perfect end to a great San Diego craft beer tour.
