I traveled to London with my family over Christmas for a family vacation and to attend a wedding in Nottingham. We spent a few days in London and arrived on Christmas day. The Christmas lights on Regent and all round London were great. We stopped at one of our favorite places in London, the Imperial Pub and then stopped in at the Sussex in Covent Garden for dinner which wasn’t too far away (maybe a 10 minute walk). My son and I had the fish and chips and my wife and daughter had the pies. Food was great but very expensive because it was Christmas day. About 25GBP for fish and chips when it normally would be probably 11GPB. We loved it though and understand that reason for the high prices on Christmas day. Most places were closed and the underground does not run so it is harder to get help on Christmas. This pub had a decent beer selection with English Ales and standard lagers/ales/ciders on tap and in bottles. I didn’t have a good picture of the inside so added the photo from their website. This is a Taylor-Walker pub. Taylor-Walker owns several pubs in London so the menus are similar. Check out the website for more info: http://www.taylor-walker.co.uk/pub/sussex-covent-garden/c0209/
