This is becoming one of my new favorite places in Tampa. It is about a 20min walk from our apartment in Tampa and they have a great selection of craft beer on tap (no crap on tap). They also have a great happy hour. Draft beers are only ~$5 and they are $1 off for happy hour which I think is 4-7p.m. daily. They also have $1 bottle beers and they have a pretty good selection of bottles. They usually have a good selection of Tampa Bay beers available. Also, their barbecue is spectacular. Some of the best barbecue in Tampa. We usually order take-away and enjoy it at home. The outside patio is our favorite spot. The service is excellent and their staff are very friendly. They have two large screen TV’s so you can watch sports. They do have entertainment sometimes on the patio and it isn’t too loud so you can enjoy the music and still have a conversation. The Holy Hog is located at the corner of Kennedy and Franklin. Great spot to have a beer before an event at Amalie Arena or even before a play.
