My wife and I traveled to Europe in SEP so I could attend a conference in London.  I love London and have been here several times.  I am not a big fan of the English Ales but I do love traditional British pubs.  Tom Cribb is one of these pubs located within walking distance from Trafalgar square and the Picadilly Circus tube station.  We stopped in after going to the play “Book of Mormon” which is just down the street.  The weather was nice so we grabbed a couple pints of cold Pilsners (I think it was Carling) and did some people watching on the street.  Most pubs have little shelves where you can stand/drink and smoke (if you are a smoker).  London, like ever other big city in the world, doesn’t allow smoking in doors.

I tried the Shepherd Neame & Co. IPA which is their own IPA.  It was in a bottle and wasn’t a typical American IPA so I rated it a 2.5.  Pretty average.  Maybe some day I will like these British Ales but it sure wasn’t this trip. Here is a link to the Tom Cribb website and I have noted the location on the map above.  http://www.shepherdneame.co.uk/pubs/london/tom-cribb.  Check them out if you are in the area.
