The Fly Bar & Restaurant in Tampa is another place that would be a good choice for dinner and drinks before a play at the Straz.  A short walk from Franklin and has great food, decent beer/wine list and a full bar.  They are limited on drafts (I think 4 or 5) but they do have several craft beers in a bottle.  Their food is great.  Lots of tapas dishes if you want to share as well as larger size meals like shrimp & grits and braised rabbit tacos.  We usually just get some appetizers to share.  We love their Apalachicola fried oysters,  pork belly cassoulet, duck confit toast, beef sliders, panko crusted goat cheese and the truffle mac & cheese (this is actually a meal but good to share too).  No happy hour drink specials on the weekend.  We were last there on a SAT about 5:00 p.m. and it was amazing how many people arrived by Uber (including us because it was raining).  It is a younger crowd but it is not loud and the food and atmosphere are great.  They also have a really nice rooftop bar which is rare in Tampa.  You would think there would be more of these but there aren’t.  Definitely a great spot for the food and beer is OK.  Not the best draft list but you will be able to find something to drink that isn’t Bud, Miller or Coors.  Check out their website for more info: http://flybarandrestaurant.com/tampa/.
