This past weekend we checked out Da Bayou Bar & Grill in Ocean Springs, MS. We travel to the area once or twice a year to visit my mother in-law and enjoy some local gulf coast seafood. I added a map above so you have an idea of the location. Kind of a secluded location but very scenic. It is located in between Gulf Park Estates and the ocean on a Bayou. We arrived at about 5pm on a SAT night and it was pretty quiet when we got there. The place is built out of containers and lots of sheet metal and has a good size inside (enclosed and heated) and outside patio area that overlooks the Bayou. The view is spectacular and they have a full bar and decent beer selection. We were meeting some of my wife’s classmates from high school so just spent the evening enjoying the location, music and some snacks. They had a musician that started playing at about 7pm. We didn’t order a meal, just ordered some Bayou Balls that were made from crab/fish/breading that were very good and some fried mushrooms that were also very good. They have the normal gulf coast menu of burgers, shrimp, po’ boys, shrimp/catfish baskets, steak/fish/shrimp tacos, crawfish, salad and even have a 12oz ribeye steak on the menu. The food looked very good and we plan to go back for lunch or dinner next time. We had a large lunch at the Crawfish House in Ocean Springs so weren’t very hungry. We just were there to enjoy the location and our company and it was perfect for that. Check out their website for more info and check it out the next time you are in Ocean Springs, MS. http://dabayougrill.com/
