We stumbled upon this place in Tampa last weekend as we were leaving Hidden Springs Ale Work’s 2 year anniversary party. We were walking south on Franklin and saw the sign for Garagiste Meadery. We decided to stop in to sample their mead. We had several craft beer samples at Hidden Springs so ended up just getting a half pour of Orange Blossom and Susy’s Cherry Pie. Both were very sweet and very good. I don’t think I could drink too many of these but they were definitely full of flavor and they have a really nice tasting room with space inside and where you can enjoy their mead. We will definitely make it back there and will bring some friends next time. We love taking the Pirate Water Taxi from the Sail to Ulele where we enjoy a beer there outside before heading to Hidden Springs. Now we have another stop in this area as well as the new “The Hall on Franklin” which is just to the north of Hidden Springs. This Tampa Heights area is really coming alive with lots of new places over the past couple of years. It is not just Ulele now, it is becoming more of a destination area with all the other new locations. If you like mead or if you have never tried mead and want to check out this great spot you should check it out. Here is a link to their website with more info: https://www.garagistemeadery.com/.
