I can’t believe we haven’t tried this Tampa bar sooner than we did. This is an awesome dive bar located in SOHO on Morrison street east of South Howard, and across the street from Haven. We visited Haven for their great happy hour and then walked across the street to enjoy a PBR and Miller Lite bottle for $5.50. It is a cash only bar and only has beer and wine. No food, just chips, pretzels and you can purchase a bowl of peanuts for $1. Can’t beat that. Guys need to remember that the bathroom inside is for the ladies and the men’s bathroom is outside. There are pool tables, jukebox and of course this is a smoking bar. If you like the Hub downtown Tampa, this has a similar vibe but no liquor. I highly recommend starting at the Haven for their happy hour and then enjoying a beer at the Tiny Tap Tavern to get two different bar perspectives. The bar is a converted gas station and started operation in 1951. Hopefully it sticks around but I assume the property value with the local growth in SOHO might cause this to close in the future (I hope not). I did find a Facebook page for the Tiny Tap. https://www.facebook.com/Tiny-Tap-Tavern-162959397103375/
