I have been to the Riegele Brewery in JAN 2014 before I started this beer blog but it was winter time and I had dinner and several beer tasters (detailed further below). It was great that I was in Augsburg in the summer so I could check out their biergarten. It is a large beautiful space where you can purchase food or bring your own. I saw a couple parties (kids and adults) where people brought their own cakes and food. I guess this is common in Germany. I was traveling with a colleague and we just had one 0.5L Fenes helles lager which was very good. Here are my Untapp’d checkins’ of their beer from 2014. The one thing they have in their restaurant in the winter is they have a heated rod they will stick in a malty beer that makes it taste like a burnt marshmellow. Very interesting.
The Riegele biergarten is definitely my favorite spot to go on a nice warm day. Check out their website for more info. http://www.riegele.de/riegelewelt/biergarten
