I was in Indianapolis recently with a colleague from Australia who also loves craft beer. He actually did some checking before our trip of good craft beer stops and we also had some recommendations from our bartenders. The brewery Saint Joseph Brewery opened in 2015 and is a 15 barrel brewery housed in an old Catholic Church that was built in 1873. The last mass was held in 1949 and was later closed in 1954.
The Saint Joseph Brewery was my favorite brewery in Indianapolis. This is one way to get people to go to Church. This was our second stop and we tried several beer tasters and ordered a couple appetizers. The food was excellent and the beer is pretty good. They have a 15 barrel brewery and full food menu. It was pretty busy on the TUE when were there and they also had live trivia. I have noted my Untapp’d checkin’s below:
You definitely have to put Saint Joseph Brewery on your list to visit the next time you are in town. Here is a link to their website with more info. http://www.saintjoseph.beer/
