I come to Winnipeg, Canada once or twice a year because I represent a company based here.  June is a great time to visit and the temp was awesome (80F+).  Had some rain in the mornings but the afternoon/evenings were perfect.  I usually stay downtown and this time I stayed at the Humphry Inn & Suites on Main street.  I decided to try out the Fox and Fiddle that was on Main Street (about a 10 min walk from my hotel) and was right next to a Jazz festival at the Old Market Square.

I stopped into the Fox and Fiddle and was originally planning to order the poutine (since this isn’t common in FL) but decided on the perogies and sausage.  It was pretty good.  I had the Muskoka Mad Tom IPA which is an unfiltered IPA.  Was pretty good.  I rated this a 3.5 on Untapp’d.  They also had a Stiegl Radler sweepstakes where you could win a nice bike (that has a 6 pack holder).  My photo probably doesn’t show this that great.  I guess the radler was developed for the bikers in Germany and is a 50/50 mix of beer and lemonade.  Radler actually means cyclist in German.

I just had one beer and a great dinner and moved on to the Jazz festival.  It was kind of quiet on this FRI night but assume that is because of the festival.  They had some taps but didn’t have any IPA’s on draft.  More local and standard beers.  I have shown the standard picture of the iced Heineken tower that I love to see.  Don’t see this much in the US.

I also show a picture of a “standard ale” from Molson Coors that looks very similar to the Budweiser branding.  Can’t believe Budweiser/InBev hasn’t gone after these guys for the deceptive advertising they use.
