Newest Tampa brewery that just opened SEP 2015. I have been here twice already. I walked from the Fly Bar in Tampa on SUN evening which can be a little sketchy because of the neighborhood but not a big deal. Hidden Springs Ale Works is located in the Tampa Heights area which is just north of downtown and just east of Ulele for you Tampa natives. Their tasting room is excellent and the staff is great and makes you feel comfortable. The first time I was there I tried four different beers that were their flagship beers (I think). I started with their Floridaweisse which was a berliner weisse then had their Deja Moo milk stout. They have on CO2 and Nitro, and I had the CO2. I then tried some beer with hops and started with the Red Ale (which was surprisingly hoppy) and their IPA. All their beers were very good. I think I like the IPA the best.
We also made another visit and I brought my son and wife. This past weekend they had several gose beers on draft. They had watermelon, pineapple, strawberry/rhubarb, raspberry and lemon. I started with the strawberry/rhubarb which was fantastic and then had the watermelon. Both were refreshing and slightly sour (just like you would expect with a gose). They don’t do tasters yet but I assume eventually they might add tasters. The space is great and a perfect place to watch the game or play games on their nice long tables. Their Facebook page appears to be the best spot to get info on the brewery. https://www.facebook.com/hiddenspringsaleworks Great to see a new Tampa brewery that has excellent beer.
