Franklin Manor is a new spot downtown Tampa for food, drinks and entertainment. It is located on N. Franklin and E. Tyler. It is right across from the new high rise apartment building under construction, 1.5 blocks north of The Hub and 2 blocks south of Fly Bar for the people that know downtown. We actually have been here twice and it has only been open a short time. We went the SAT of their soft open at 4:30p.m. in the afternoon before a Straz event (only 2.5 blocks from the Straz). They have a decent draft and bottle beer selection and a full bar. They also have an icee machine with a frozen wine cocktail. We ordered one of these on our second visit and it was really good. They do have a happy hour (I think it is 25% off before 6 but check with your wait staff). They had a band start at 6:00 p.m. and the sound was perfect (not too loud where you couldn’t talk to each other at the bar). They also have an indoor bar. Check them out if you are going to a show at the Straz or if you are just looking for a great place to hang out.
