The Attic Cafe and Bar is located downtown Tampa on Kennedy. I stumbled on this bar in an advertisement and have never been to this spot in Tampa before. We usually go to the Holy Hog on Kennedy/Franklin which is only 2 blocks to the west of The Attic. We stopped in on a FRI afternoon for a beer to check the place out. I had JDub’s Passion Wheat and my wife had Cigar City Florida Cracker. The space is set up more for the downtown business crowd. It is open 8am-8pm MON-THUR, and 8am-9pm on FRI. It is not open on the weekend. It has Buddy Brew coffee and a proper espresso machine. I imagine this is a popular spot for breakfast/coffee/lunch business crowd. It also has a decent craft beer selection (both draft and bottle). The space is really nice and would be a good spot to hang out to do some work. They have free WiFi and there were a few people working on the night we were there. Definitely better than working in a Starbucks. We were told on FRI they have entertainment but we didn’t stick around for that. They also have a nice outside area that overlooks the city. Check it out if you are in the area. http://www.atticcafe.net/
