UPDATE MAR 9, 2018: I have added some more pictures because we attended two Tampa Bay Beer Week events at Brew Bus. One was a Beer 101 event and the other was a food/beer collaboration with Haven/Elevage.
My wife and I visited Brew Bus Brewing in Tampa this weekend. Previously this was the location of Florida Avenue Brewing and I wasn’t a big fan of their beers. Brew Bus Brewing purchased and is brewing their flagship beers (shown above) as well as contract brewing for Florida Avenue. They also have several special beers that they brew. This location is also the “terminal” for the Brew Bus which takes people to local breweries in Tampa Bay and St. Pete. I have never done this but it looks like fun. The tasting room is really nice and is totally renovated compared to what it used to look like when it was Florida Avenue. They have 20 rotating taps and a large window so you can see into the brewing area. This was a FRI evening so it was pretty busy but it didn’t take us long to get a beer. I tried the Rye’d Around Session IPA. Pretty decent session. They had a food truck so we went outside and sat on a picnic table. Hopefully they will start doing trivia here during the week.
Great new spot in Tampa to drink decent craft beer. Not far from another great craft beer spot on Florida Avenue, the Independent. We stopped in at Brew Bus on our way back from Fodder & Shine and the Front Porch which are two great spots for food and drinks on Florida Avenue just north of Hillsborough.
